Kids - can jazz up their room with a rug, a matching bulletin board, and even curtains!

I am so reluctant to admit this...but my plans for this year included teaching my middle daughter - and myself - to sew.  Yep.  I was going to buy the simplest-to-operate (and cheapest!) sewing machine I could find, scour the internet, and learn to sew WITH her.  Somehow those plans got put on the back burner.  But, thankfully, I subscribe to a couple of kids' sewing blogs to give me that little spark of inspiration - and guilt - to get us started!  lol!  One such blog is Kids Sewing Projects.

Actually, for this craft, I would think you would only need a needle and thread, if you have a careful, patient child like my middle dd is.

These projects are very cute, and it would be fun to go with your child to pick out the fabric!

I think they're all very good ideas. It's amazing how just a few things can change an entire room!
